Andrea Soberg

Andrea is a Professor in the School of Business at Trinity Western University (TWU), leading the HR management specialization in the BBA program. She teaches courses in human resource management and organization development in both the undergrate and graduate programs. In addition to her faculty role, she is the Director of the Centre for Global Entrepreneurship (CGE), in which she gives direction for scholarly research focused on understanding the cultural and economic marketplace within which indigenous firms operate in different locations around the globe. She is also the past Dean of the School of Business (2008 – 2014) where she gave leadership to the largest and fastest growing program at the university. 

In addition to her work at TWU, she continues to manage her own consulting firm, People First Consulting, where she works with organizations, in both the private and public sectors, assisting them in becoming more productive and profitable through strategic planning and management of their people. 

Ms. Soberg is the author of several articles in the field of human resources and has has been a presenter at several national and international conferences. She has also been a guest lecturer at other business schools in Canada, Europe, and China. 

She holds a Master of Industrial Relations and Human Resources (MIRHR) degree from the University of Toronto and has the professional certification for human resources in Canada (CPHR), in the US (PHR) and in Hong Kong (HKIHRM).
