The Reverend Dr. Ken Deeks

Ken has been engaged in a ministry of preaching, teaching, and disciple-making since 1985, first as a Pentecostal pastor, and since 2007 as a deacon and priest in the Anglican Network in Canada. He spent 19 of his 36 years of ministry as the dean of an undergraduate theological college of 300 students. In 2019 he was appointed rector of Church of the Ascension in Langley.

Ken has served on multiple boards and committees in a variety of ministry contexts, including the Church Development Committee of the diocese. Ken also co-created a Strategic Ministry Planning process that has been implemented by ANiC parishes.

His ministry interests include encouraging innovative approaches to theological and ministry training, creating structures and processes that foster congregational and diocesan health, and nurturing the evangelical, catholic, and renewal streams of ANiC.
