Grateful: A Report from ARDFC

Thank you for your support of the Anglican Relief and Development Fund Canada (ARDFC). Just in the past two year, thanks to the faithful and sacrificial support of congregations and individuals, we’ve raised more than $200,000. These funds have been used to both:

  1. support Biblically faithful Anglican churches in the developing world as they minister to the needs in their communities, as well as
  2. provide urgently needed aid in disaster situations.

With the end of the year approaching, and as we all start to think about finalizing our charitable giving for the year, please consider ARDFC and our current project: building a clinic to offer much-needed affordable healthcare in Douala, Cameroon (West Africa), under the administration of the Diocese of Cameroon. So far we have raised $18,000 of the $89,000 (Cdn) needed to build and equip this clinic. As God has blessed us this year, may we, in gratitude, extend that blessing to a hurting world.

Baroness Caroline Cox report

ARDFC is truly grateful for the enthusiastic response to our Ottawa luncheon featuring Baroness Caroline Cox. This was a great way to kick-off fundraising for the Cameroon project – which is our most ambitious to date. Now I’d like to encourage those who were not able to attend the Ottawa luncheon, to consider including this worthwhile endeavor in your Christmas and year-end giving.

As a result of Baroness Cox’ meetings with Members of Parliament and the diplomatic community in Ottawa, ARDFC’s national director Claus Lenk was able to spend time with the High Commissioner for Cameroon, Mr Anu’a Ghele Solomon Azoh-Mbi. Just last week, Claus heard that the High Commissioner had written the Minister of Public Health in Cameroon recommending his government do all in its power to facilitate ARDFC’s project of building a clinic in Douala.
